The Club

The Maitland Bowling Club started in 1934 after some residents had played on a private rink.  A meeting was held on January 15th. 1934, to form a club and land was leased from the Corporation of Maitland, for the purpose of building a green.

In 1948, a Ladies Bowling Club was formed, and the then Community Centre, extended the idle croquet green, which was next to the original green, to a nine rink green for their use.

In June 1999 the two Clubs combined to become the the Maitland Bowling Club Inc. as it is now.

Over the years, the club rooms have been extended and facilities have been installed to allow members and visitors to come and enjoy friendship and companionship. The club room seats 100 people and the facilities are available for hire. Enquiries & Bookings can be made with the Secretary.

There is one green (2020) on which Pennant matches are played on Thursdays, (Two Divisions) and on Saturdays, (Two Divisions).  The Club also conducts its own Club and social events as well as competing in and hosting Association, Regional and State events.
